Atkins 3k on the Green - Race 3

The final race in this series of three saw me arriving in less than peak condition. With aching calf muscles and a hearty cough, perhaps a rest would have been a wiser choice. Still, there I was on the start line at the McLennan Arch at 12:30, with 29 other runners. I set out steadily and picked up a few places along the way, but without Brian Brennan to hunt me down, I carded a mediocre 11.11. Russell Whittington won again, in 9.50 today, with Beryl Junnier again taking the women's race (11.02). Still, better than sitting at a desk all day, and a good wee blast.
