Lomonds of Fife
A driech day for a run. Visability was only a few hundred yards at times. Cold and drizzle too.
After a harder start than I wanted I settled into 11th place tucked behind John Gallagher (Ochils) and held it to East Lomond. I couldn't get into the race mentally until I passed John and another and gained 9th place by taking a better route up East Lomond. I lifted the pace on the return to West Lomond and had caught up with 2 more bodies by the summit, however they just disappeared out of sight on the final hairy descent and finished a minute ahead.
I kept waiting on John Gallagher to catch me but I was well ahead. Was quite pleased overall and delighted to get top ten and first team with Brian solid in 11th and Kevin surprising me in 15th place (with no skin left on his backside after a bum slide off West Lomond).
My only disappointment was missing my PB by about thirty seconds.

10 John Gallagher Ochil 77.21
