Bishop Hill
Sorry for the delay in posting but last Sunday three Westies went over to Fife to the Bishop Hill race .......two to take part and one to watch and take photographs. Don Reid and myself represented the club in what I always think is one of the best short hill races on the calendar and JD the elder was the chap with the camera. After a good race the previous weekend I had high hopes of another but it was not to be .....by half way up the hill I was struggling and could see Don ease further ahead with every step. Perked up a bit on the descent and pulled back some time but a minute at least slower than I'd hoped for. Conditions were perfect for hill running and the usually slippery descent was bone dry which probably helped explain the race records for Robbie Simpson and Claire Whitehead. I recommend this race highly to everybody in the club and hope that next year there will be a lot more big black Ws ahead of me.Posted by Brian Brennan on Thu 10 Mar 2011 | comments are closed
