In the Dark Handicap
2nd March 2011
13 Westies turned out for the annual In the Dark Handicap at Clachan of Campsie.
First back, and fastest lady was Paula Cowan. Last back was Alasdair Miller who unfortunately arrived late and missed Drew's brief describing the route.
The evening was rounded off with curry at Kirkintilloch Indian Cottage.

Another geat little Westies Event and thanks to Chris, Drew and Margaret for their help. I managed to run quicker than last year, which I was pleased with, hold off the fast finishing Graham, but was helpless as Captain Chris whoosed past in a blur. Congrats to Paula, who followed her Triger Dumgoyne Handicap win with another successful duping of the handicapper - rumours of free physio treatment for Drew I'm sure are nothing more than scurrilous jealous gossip that should be ignored.

Aye ...another grand evening spent wi pals running around in the dark !
Think my last showing at the dark was back in 2008 where Simon Triger and myself had a great bit of sport leading up the hill and ended up with a sprint finish beside JD and a wee spew (repeated a wee bit of a spew last night after an equally sore sprint finish with tall Peter).
Cheers to Drew and Margaret for timing.
Congrats to Paula on winning and sharing the chocolates :-)
