Sunday jog above Dollar
6th February 2011
John, John, John, Johnston, Murdo (Iain, surely?) and Peter (Johann?) jogged round a variant of the Dollar race route, taking in Saddle Hill, Whitewisp, Tarmangie, Andrew Gannel, King's Seat and Bank Hill, before crossing and re-ascending Dollar Glen to the controversial high car park start point, much denigrated by Donnelly. The chosen finish seemed to placate him, giving the requisite ascent for the day.
...but where were John Hutchinson, John Quinn, Jon Slowe, and Johannes??!

Route on Garmin
A solid Sunday run in the hiils with good company. Despite the "roadrunner's start" right up by the Castle, we managed over 2,500 feet of ascent. The mist cleared a few times to give views of windfarms, glens and greenery and we almost got snowed upon. The slackers departed promptly, leaving me and Murdo to enjoy a nice pint of Bitter & Twisted down in Dollar, to round off the day in style.

Yes, this was good fun. My legs are still sore from the downhill running. I hope that they have recovered by Saturday.
How did you all manage to get down so quickly? Anyway, really enjoyed the view. Beautiful scenery:)
