The score event that nearly happened

The weather prevented most people from venturing into that frontier settlement of Milngavie but a hardy bunch of sourdoughs (see your goldrush history) battled through the Yukon territory of Anniesland.

In case the hungry grizzlies, were out on the hunt and the wolves on the prowl the 49ers stayed together for a run through Mugdock and back to the Hutchinson shack for soup and pizzas before hitching up the huskies and retreating to the safety of Glasgow.

Well done Naill, Elisabeth, Keith, Peter, Pat & Colin who all get curry point 'cos of the pakora.

Don't think you can get out of it however. We all agreed that we should do it in Jan or early Feb - minus the mince pies.

As ever the Hutchinsons hospitality was fantastic and it proved well worth the effort spent digging my car out from under the snow in the morning. A lovely run around a white Mugdock, with tinsel decorations adding to the festive feel already well and truly created by the snow covered trees, was followed by delicious after-run snacks and perfectly topped off by a prize chocolate lolly for each runner - those who didn't come missed out!! I loved this type of score event!
