West District Cross Country Relay
9th October 2010
Route | Men's results | Women's results
Opening race of the 2010/11 cross country season. The 4km course followed 2 laps of Rouken Glen Park, and I'm this is the first time in my 10 years with the club that we have fielded 2 full women's teams in a cross country relay!
The men's A team managed our best finish in recent years with 15th out 53 teams. I passed the baton to Scott in 21st place after Leg 1. Scott had a good run to hold 21st spot, before passing over to the illusive David Riach who stormed through to 16th, before handing over to Owen who pulled us up to 15th. Our male vet 50 team had a solid performance with 42nd place overall, after Dave Calder finished 40th on Leg 1. The men's C team needed 1 more runner, but unfortunately nobody appeared willing to run twice!

Thanks for posting the elusive results Chris. Yes, the women of the club did us proud; turned up, ran well and managed to enjoy the endeavour to varying degrees. Roll on Saturday and the next relay race.
