Glasgow parkrun no.65
20th March 2010
parkrun 65 results | Richard Leyton's parkrun photos
While the real racing will be at Chapelgill today, I wimped out and went for the parkrun for the first time in almost a year. With conditions ideal for running once again, it seemed like a good opportunity to lay down a marker for later in the season; a chance to see if the sweaty efforts of the summer training runs will prove their worth.
I was pleased to record a parkrun PB (and 5k PB) to start things off - 18:17, and it was the 10th place token I got my mitts on at the end.
The only other Westie in action at today's parkrun was event stalwart Drew Turnbull, clocking 31:06. Kevin Downie of East Kilbride finished first in 16:49, and 243 ran.
