King's Seat Grudge Match

Our 4th Westies vs Boggies "Grudge Match" since they were re-instated back in 2006 with the inaugural King's Seat race courtesy of HBT's Ian Campbell. Much thanks go to Morag McCracken for organising the 2009 event and arranging the excellent catering at the Woolpack in Tillicoultry.
Conditions for this 2nd King's Seat outing were far colder, wilder and windier than the 2006 event, with many runners electing to run in full body cover from the start, and times were not surprisingly well down on the 2006 race.
Murray Strain took an early lead but was caught on the return by Al Anthony, and both runners crossed the line simultaneously.
Westies and Ochils both had 5 runners participating. Once again, through sheer weight in numbers (and having faster runners), HBT won the grudge match thereby retaining the ashes of an old cremated PB magazine. Don was first Westie home, followed by Steffen, then finally Ellie, Mindy and JD all finished within 4 seconds of each other.
