Golden Oldies 2

Following on from the last batch of re-instated photos, here's another few from the archives...

Cort-ma Law 1992 (featuring Manny with a stookie)
Glasgow Uni Road Race 2002
Pentland Skyline 2001
Tinto 2002 (a few photos still missing here)

As before, I don't have time to create proper thumbnail images where they didn't already exist, and you may need to click on some of the photos to display the full thing, e.g. Archie is initially out of shot in one of the Uni RR photos but he's there if you click for the full image.

OK, I've added a few more photos back to their old reports. Looks like quite a few from the 2003/2004 era are missing from the CD I have, never to be seen again (unless someone who was in the club at that time has a copy). Anyway, here's the good news - the following photos have been reunited with their reports:-

    Glamaig 2002
    Glasgow to Edinburgh Relay 2003
Greenmantle Dash 2003 (featuring Kate Jenkins in a dress and wellies)
    National Cross Country Championships 2002
National Cross Country Relays 2002 (still some photos missing here)
    Rostrevor to Newcastle Relay 1997
    Ben Lomond 2002
    Tinto 2001
Two Buchailles 2002 (still some photos missing here)
    Jura 1999
    High Peaks Marathon 2002
Ben Nevis 1996 (photo of the late Eddie Campbell in action)

More in due course when I have the time - it's a slow process.

    ...and some more...

    Scottish Islands Peaks Race 2000
    Glen Rosa Horseshoe 2001
    Carnethy 5 2001
    Xmas Handicap 2000

Again, click on the photos to get the full view. Some are slightly obscured at first.

Nearly there - probably fewer than 10 reports which can have their photos reinstated still to go. Then we're off into the darkest recesses of the CD, with pictures of the old Westerlands track, founder Bill Sheridan in action, scans of old Grudge Match letters, and all sorts of silly stuff. Cannae wait!

    Still more:-

    Devil's Burdens 2000
    Carnethy 5 1999
    Defi de L'Oisans 2004
Glamaig 1997 - Mark Rigby wins in Westerlands colours.

Isn't it great to see Ian's favourite fleece, again and again?
It's still going strong a decade later!

I think you'll find that fleece tops weren't generally available when Ian was given that sweatshirt (circa Xmas 1983). But the garment is testament to the quality and durability of M&S menswear in the good old days pre-Zara, Stuart Rose and Blue Harbour! Of course, it goes without saying that the photograph is also testament to the durability of Ian!
