Campsie Sunday Run
SUNDAY 22 FEB 2009
Myself, Moira, Andy and Murdo enjoyed fine, if breezy conditions for a nice 3hr plod round the Campsies. A wee warm-up along the track from the Blanefield Monument to start with; a steep walk up to Slackdhu; upsy and downsy over to Dumfoyne; and then a steady plod up to Earl's Seat; a quick turnaround and then nicely downhill and up and down Dumgoyne; before a slow plod back along the WH Way. Some soup and shandy in the pub afterwards freshened us up.

I really enjoyed the day, up until the last 15 - 30 mins where my body just seemed to run out of energy. I guess I'll bring some juice or sweeties for any run great than 2 1/2 hours in the future.
In other news, Johnston should be back in action (slow-mo 70s cop-show style) sometime in March. Apparently his gammy leg is improving slowly but steadily.

Photos look good - nice day for it (again).
Yes indeed, talking of 70's cops, my hamstring was well and truly Shaft-ed, but I'm jogging slowly again. I hope to be able to do some more serious training by the end of March, so I might make the midweek club runs around that time.
