Goats and sheep

Last night's run really sorted out the goats from the sheep. Only 5 hardy souls made the effort to complete the advertised 15.6km Kelvingrove Monument Run - myself, David, Dave, Katy and Elsie. The weather started out with painfully cold freezing rain, and later turned to driving wet sleet to provide the most hideous running conditions imaginable. The rest of you don't know what you missed.

I think I am a goat, struggled to keep up with the sheep. But it was amazing how much fun running it turned out to be running through the sleet and snow!

I'm glad now I ran my 10 miler in Chatelherault at lunch in the dry, and then went to the cinema in the evening!

Hey (sorry - that's for horses)! A few hardy souls - Pat, Pauline, Helen and John H - also braved the conditions and made an early start to do a Westerton Woods/Canal Bank route before undetaking an hour of night-orienteering in Garscube. And it was very good fun although it took about a day to warm up again.
