kilpatricks by moonlight
For a change the "moonlight run" lived up to its name, with the privileged few enjoying a superb trot round the "old" Old Kilpatricks hill race route. The sky was clear, the moon was (almost) full and the ground was frosty. Not a glimpse of a headtorch was needed, even by yours truly, as we enjoyed amazing visibility away from the bright lights of Glasgow up on the moors. A truly special evening.

On across the Kilpatricksthe Duncolms go by like dreamsThe rivers and the hills,the forests and the streams.
Sheep graze open mouthed, taken by surprise;Nobody down below believes their eyes.
We're running in the air,we're swimming in the frozen sky,we're slipping over icemountains floating by.
Suddenly swooping low a grouse disturbed from sleep,scaring the living daylights out of the westies and a sheep.
We're running in the air,we're crunching on the frozen grass.and everyone who sees usthinks we will fall on our ass.
