wed night orientering mini-ganza
I have only 3 words to say.... I was cheated!!No, the real 3 words are THAT WAS GREAT. A huge vote of thanks to John and Fiona for a memorable evening of meandering running through snow covered woods, enjoying fine food and drink and, of course, great company. A huge amount of effort was put into this event by them and it went fantastically. It was a really lovely evening for all who were present, and well done to all the other helpers. here's to more of the same in future.

My second attempt at one of John & Fiona's urban(ish) orienteering thingys and very good fun they are too. Plenty of route options to keep everyone happy and then lots of good food, drink and chat, all added up to a great evening. Highlght of the night must be David Riach's uncanny ability to run for exactly an hour without the use of a watch. Spooky!
This club run seems to attract interesting weather; biblical quantities of rain 2 years ago, snow and ice this time. Maybe time to name the event the Urban Milngavie Marathon. T-shirts with "UMM: urban orienteerng at it's toughest!" perhaps?
Thanks again to John & Fiona for another excellent Westies night out in Milngavie.
