RedMoss2008

Just a quick mention of this wednesdays sprint of a trail race around RedMoss. 6 westies drove east for the evening and were rewarded with a bright breezy run with midges when you stopped. I dont know times or placings but the club positions were Chris, GrahamK, Trig, Jason, Ellie, Rich. It was nice to see that my long hill racing summer hasn't knocked off all my road speed, which was more what this race was about, but also I was pleased with my running on the one real hill climb, and the nice descent, except I didn't like bouncing through the heather.

A fair summary of what this race seems to be about, Jason. Like you, I found the heathery bit to be the most awkward, a real contrast to the fast and runnable parts which account for most of this course.

A fun route, but a strong headwind for the final 2km along beside the reservoir.
