GR20 en 5 Jours
12th to 16th September
Spent last week jogging along the GR20 hiking trail across Corsica in 5 days. The route is around 180km with 12,000m ascent, and the event was organised by Cap Orn - fairly low-key with just 12 runners.
My plan was to complete the course in under 30 hours, but in fact could only manage 31 hours 46 minutes. Each day I was finishing around 2 hours before the second runner, and often arrived before the organisation staff had driven round. Fantastic wild country, but pretty difficult for running much of the time.
More details with stage profiles here.
