Urie Loch Hill Race
A grand day out on Arran in the sunshine; half the adventure of this wee hill behind Lamlash is catching the trains, ferry, and bus to get there in time.. The other half is enormous bog at the top of the fire break. I went in up to my waist, Dave up to his knees, and by the look of his backside, Drew appears to have sat in it (never wear yellow shorts). Fortunately there was a handy hose at the finish.
Four westies present: myself, Dave, Drew and Margaret. Dave was fifth, I swept the female prize board with first lady and vet (don't ask about the size of field). Can anyone beat my loot of 4 trophies, a necklace and a set of Arran aromatics? Maybe we could start a new club competition?
