Dumgoyne Handicap
4th July 2007
A good turnout of 14 Westies for the 2nd running of the Dumgoyne Handicap. No longer ridiculously slow Jason Kaushal won the race, and will need some serious re-adjustment to his handicap before next week's race. New-comer Andy Edwards, fresh from the Arrochar Alps experience posted the 2nd fastest run of the night. 3rd fastest was Steffen, narrowly beating Graham Kelly who had a very strong run. No other short race can have so many gates to contend with!

The Dumgoyne Handicap route really is a good un - a mix of everything (including gates a plenty) ! Big thanks to Hamilton & Dave C for the company on the way up - I do think your route choice up the gully was the better of the two.
Not sure how anyone else felt ...but I am sure the last section from leaving the track to the finish seemed long ..very long in fact.
Great to see some new folks out on the hill !
Got a feeling the handicaps will be amended for next weeks outing at Chatelherault Country Park.
Thanks to Margaret for the time keeping and Steffan for the top curry location.
