Legs massaged at Jim Darby's before the race. Lesley didn't run. Steady fast start, held back a good bit, stayed relaxed. Had a good solid ascent although my route choice wasn't too clever. I didn't descend as well as I might have but considering recent ankle twists, wet rock and grass, I was solid. Had another great road section back to the harbour and picked off another place in the sprint for the finish. Hoped to catch J.BF but he was too strong on the final straight. I probably ran too hard considering the Ben Nevis centenery run was only yesterday but am well pleased with ninth place. Thirty second slower than '92.
