Another cracking Wed evening race, another PW and another attack of the dreaded Strathyre midges. Yes, all in all a great wee evening. biker Don led the Westies home (I think!) followed by lone non-Old Git Triger, then me followed closely by Murdo, John H. Donald and Drew. We were all truly humped by Jamie Stevenson (15yrs!!) in 1st place and I was humbled by pint-sized Jamie Crowe, who whizzed past me in the forest. I power-walked almost all of the steep climb, tracking Murdo and Simon, passing Murdo near the top and closing down on Simon at the summit before he disappeared down the other side. I then enjoyed the cracking descent through the woods, only losing a couple of places before just holding off Murdo near the finish. No one hung around much at the finish due to the abundance of flesh-eating zombie midges. However, the pub nearby was free of them and we enjoyed a few refreshments there to wind down. Where were the Westies Women?!
