Kelvingrove Relays
The first running of the Westies Kelvingrove Relays was a great success. About 20 of us turned out, including a few first-timers and even a visiting Trotter on a lovely spring evening. After a random team selection by Fiona and Shona we all split up into our wee teams of 3. The course was a 2 mile lap of the park and over to the Museum, fast and flat for the first part, with a wicked uphill finish. Claire, Paolo and Graham's team triumphed. Chris was fastest man in 9m 44s and Claire was fastest woman in 11m 29s. Afterwards we enjoyed some drinks and patter in The Primary. A great evening and maybe a regular Westies fixture in future?

Indeed it was a good night. Nice to see some new faces along as well.
But it must be stated that I did wrong route towards the end a bit so the triumph belongs more to Claire & Paolo - apologies to my team for my error.
If anyone thought we looked strange ...we were positively normal in comparison to the large group going through the "military" training session - all shapes and sizes. Might just of been me but it looked as if they were grouped by weight !
Thanks to Shona and Fiona for keeping track of who was in what team and times etc .......
