Rouken Glen 10k

Four fearless Westies ventured off the hills (we did them at the weekend) to the roads of the Rouken Glen 10k last night. Gillian and I claim to have been coerced into this by Ian and Andy. (They had pre-entered.) "Just treat it as a training run" we were told. It's reported to be a record Westies turn-out for this event! It's one of those routes that's torture at the time but you're glad you did it -3k round Rouken Glen park, 4k uphill to Newton Mearns and 3k back down the ayr road and back into the park. We all finished fairly close together, within a minute of each other, between the 50-54 minute mark. No official results yet.

Thanks for the report Helen. My first 10k for about 10years. It was a good night, I was glad I did it but kept looking for the stiles or gates. Thanks to Andy and Ian for persuading Helen and me to go along.
